I’ve had a few people email and say they have not been able to post comments here at the Vintage Traveler, and I’ve recently had problems posting on another WordPress blog. If you have tried to post here and your post did not show up it is not because I was blocking you! If this has happened to you, please post or email me at thevintagetraveler@gmail.com so I can try and determine how widespread the problem is.
Also, I’ve decided to take down my prohibition against Pinterest. The change in their terms of use satisfied most of my concerns about my photos being “owned” by Pinterest once they are posted there. Please pin responsibly!
I’ve posted this photo of the young woman above in the past, but I just had to repost it because of her shoes. This is tomboy look I was referring to earlier!

I’m with you 100% on Pinterest. I was very uneasy about having my photos appear there, so I’ve been watermarking everything religiously for the last little while, and working my way back through the archives to update older posts.
with Pinterest: In the item description I’ve started to add the name of the site I got the image from. It’s one way to keep the origin with the image (until someone further down the line changes that description)
Jen, this is exactly what I’m doing when I pin my own photos. The only other things I’ll be pinning are repins from people who pin their own content.
she’s awesome (and testing, one two three)
Comment test!
YEA!!!
in the 80′s there seemed to be a lot of clothes similar to this and with a 40s touch to them. I think Kenzo has a few patterns that are what I’m trying to describe. I dressed like the photo a lot back then, but I had the black and white saddle shoes {which I’m currently on the look for, for my daughter}.
I just love this look.
I love her tomboy look. She looks kind of mean and moody too!
