North Carolina Museum of History

I was very lucky to get to spend a morning at our NC State Museum of History with the curator of costumes and textiles, Louise Benner.  They had just opened a new exhibit ~ What We Wore in North Carolina ~ and it was a real pleasure having Louise, the curator of the exhibit, do a personal tour.  I’ll share my drawings from the exhibit in a few days.

I also got a little tour of the climate and light controlled storage vault.  As you can see from the pictures, the state museum has quite a collection, with textile  items dating from the early days of North Carolina, to things of recent manufacture.
