Yes, this is the same circa 1915 or 1916 dress. I have been entrusted with some cleaning and conservation of clothing at my local museum volunteer They have a nice collection of antique clothing but needed someone to catalog and care for the textiles.Spotted in the ladies room at the Shelton House Museum where I am volunteering- a "cow blanket" by Kate Clayton Donaldson. Granny Donaldson, as she was often called, crocheted figures from wool yarn she dyed using natural dyes she foraged from the fields and woods near her home in Marble, NC. Through the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC, Donaldson was able to sell her creations.

i have a bottle of this red ish pinkish polish, bout half full. is it worth anything? or just kinda junk

i’m afraid I don’t know, as I’m not an appraiser. Maybe you could check on eBay to see if stuff like that is selling.

My 92 year old mother was telling just telling me about how she wore the red Chen Yu nail polish with Chinese characters in gold in the 1940s.

I’m 80,but I remember that we used to order free samples … cute little bottles of really neat colors … even black!
