I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read my vintage ramblings week after week. I’ve said this before, but the internet is such a gift to people who want to connect with like-minded others. I’ve made so many friends through this blog, and I treasure all of you.
2014 was a good year for me. I didn’t get to travel as much as I’d liked (due to circumstances I could not control) but I’ve learned that adventure is where you find it. Most importantly, this year was free of personal tragedy, and for that I’m most grateful. We still have our Spookster dog, and at seventeen years and nine months, that is saying a lot.
I wish all of you the best in the coming year. May we all look for the good in life, and do what we can to correct the bad.
Wishing you a wonderful 2015 as well! Thanks for publishing such a thoughtful and informative blog; I’ve learned a lot from you over the years.

I am sure I speak for many who appreciate the time, effort and creative energy you put in your writing, Lizzie. Thanks much.
You’re vast knowledge of fashion and textile history amazes me….. (you even including history’s of vintage LABELS on clothing)…You never seem to run out of interesting subjects.
Have you ever done something on the history of dog clothing…I am curious to see what vintage dog outfits would look like….. and maybe include a photo of The Spookster?

Oh, I was just thinking about vintage dog clothes earlier today (really!)! I have a buffalo plaid jacket for my dog that I think is from the 1950’s. made me wonder what else is out there, as I’ve seldom come across anything.

I’ve never researched doggie clothing. Should I put that on my list?

Do you have time to take on another research topic? If so, that would be grand! I’ve not come across any examples of vintage canine wear, except for the one piece that I bought for my own dog. Will have to do a bit of investigating as well, now that it’s on my mind.
