Desert Island Vintage Feature at Denisebrain Vintage Fashion

I was recently asked a simple question by Maggie at Denisebrain Vintage Clothing.  If you could have just eight vintage fashion items, what would they be?  The question turned out not to be as simple as I’d at first thought.  It took an entire week for me to finally decide on which eight items I’d most want to have.

If you want to know my answers, head over to Maggie’s blog.  And if you have not already done so, you need to add Denisebrain to your list of blog favorites.

Thanks so much, Maggie!

  1. Lizzie…I took your suggestion and went to Denise’s blog….it was very interesting…. The FIRST treat was seeing that cute picture of you with the famous person. That made me smile immediately.

The rest of the blog was most interesting to say the least. It made me give some thought to WHAT WOULD I TAKE ??? I will need more than a week to decide.

Thanks for putting a smile on my face. (your picture did that.)

Wow, this is so interesting. My favorite is that you actually met Betsey Johnson and how nice she was. Thank you for introducing me to yet another cool vintage fashion blog!

    • She was so nice; she even signed one of her sewing patterns from the 70s for me.

And that was such a great blog entry when you wrote about it. Definitely put a smile on my face!

If I could meet only one designer (outside the U.S.) it would be Hubert de Givenchy. I understand that he currently has a major exhibit of his designs at the Gemeentemuseum in Den Haag. It’s called “Hubert de Givenchy – To Audrey with Love”. Hoping this exhibit comes to the New York area one day.
