Vintage Miscellany – June 3, 2018

Yesterday I was bitten by the first mosquito of the season, so it is now officially summer here in the South. Hopefully the 1950s camp above was mosquito free.

And now for the news…

  1. Mosquitoes can’t get past the Rockies so we are pretty much free of those pesky critters except for lagoons and an occasional skeeter that wanders into a yard or home. I don’t miss mosquito season!

    Brings back memories of home on the Catoctin mountains. Mosquitos -bugs- poison ivy – ah summer in the mountains my – my home. It was / is beautiful. Reservations? Nice old photo.
