The Annual Vintage Traveler Giveaway CLOSED

The New Year is here, and that means it is time for the one and only annual giveaway here at The Vintage Traveler.  Are giveaways passe’?  Seems like I’m not seeing quite so many on other blogs, but regardless, I have a lovely gift for the lucky winner.

It’s a beautiful book, Fashion Illustration, 1930 to 1970.  Every page really is delightful and the book is a good overview of the famous illustrators of each decade.

To enter, simply leave a comment here.  For additional entries, post on The Vintage Traveler facebook page, or make a comment directed to @fuzzylizzie on twitter.  It does not even have to be about the giveaway.  I’ll pick a winner on Friday, so make sure you get your entries in before noon, EST on that day.  There is a maximum three entries per person.  You do not have to be in the USA to enter.

I really do want to thank everyone who takes the time to read and to comment.  A very Happy New Year to you!

  5. That book is so lovely! I am enamored with illustrations from the 70’s especially those of my high school years. Mostly, I love the LadyBug illustrative ads. Do you recall those? I believe I will be searching for a copy of this book no matter who you give it too. Are you sure you want to give it away? Happy New Year and thank you for keeping this beautiful blog.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful trips back in time this year. Your blog is the only one I read daily and love that you have a picture for us, too. I do heirloom sewing and am always researching, but, you have opened many more new avenues I want to explore. May your New Year be full of new treasures.

  59. Hi Lizzie – One of my fondest memories was, as a pre-teen/teen in the 60’s & 70’s, when visiting my grandmother, I loved pouring over the Vogues from those decades that she kept in a cupboard. Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton, Penelope Tree and, of course, the exotic Veruschka – what an era! I’m always on the look out for Vogues from that time and they are very difficult to find.
Anyway, love your posts – bring back lots of memories!

Reading all the encouraging comments had meant a great deal to me.
